South Carolina lawmakers want to remove your voting power. MAGA Republicans are proposing new voting maps that would roll back decades of voting rights protections. These maps will disenfranchise Black voters, make it harder (if not impossible) for non-Republicans to win elections, and silence dissent before voting ever happens.
This push comes in the lead up to the 2026 midterms, as MAGA policies grow ever-more unpopular across the country. Across the South, we are seeing similar redistricting attempts after a recent Supreme Court decision weakened key protections in the Voting Rights Act.
They’re afraid of us. They’re afraid we will remove them from power. If our right to vote didn’t matter, they wouldn’t be trying to rewrite it.
Stand up. Speak out. Push back.
