Happy to see a SC presence here. I believe it is a travesty the leaders we have and how they are serving us. SC needs more. I am spending this week calling out the Top 5 Least Wanted Reps in SC. I am sure you will see some familiar favorite. Its a 3 part series so today we are focusing on William Timmons and Joe Wilson. SC deserves better than these collaborators complicit silence, and its up to all of us to speak out against it.
I was born and raised in South Carolina (Barnwell, Beaufort, and Charleston) and my whole family (immediate and extended) lives there still and are MAGA/MAHA. I live in Washington State now and follow and protest with the 50501 Movement out here, and I am SO heartened to stumble upon a 50501 Substack for SC! I know how hard that must be, and I am so grateful and proud of everyone who is showing up (online or in person). There are so many new transplants to SC lately (which my family likes to brag about), and I’m hoping deep in my heart that the state will start to turn more and more blue and independent as the years go by. Much love and support for those who run and organize this Substack and movement in SC. The change they never saw coming! Elbows up! ✊💙
National Indivisible, 50501, and other orgs have announced that our next big rally is on June 14. Will one be organized for the Low country?
This, of course, is the day that Trump is planning his 90-million-dollar military parade. We want to distract from that, ruin his birthday, and show that we are coming together to reject strongman politics.
Will you guys get the permitting done for this nationwide rally to include the folks from The Charleston area?
Do you have someone in the Charleston area working to pull permits for marches, protests pickets on a regular basis? The lack of organization and communication has been shameful in Charleston, N. Charleston and Mt Pleasant. If you can't carry the torch here then someone else will. I need an answer from you.
All events are put on by local organizers. As this date was just announced in the last few days and organizers are still putting on May Day events today, they will be prioritizing June starting next week. We are in communication with organizers in Charleston, and I'm sure they could use some help. I believe you're in our organizer Discord, right? Please let us know if you'd like to support them in organizing an event in Charleston and we can put you in touch directly next week!
